Traveling to and from Valencia Airport and the city center is quite simple thanks to various public and private transportation options.

Metro Line 3 (red) and Line 5 (green) connect the airport with the city center, operating approximately every 10 minutes with a travel time of about 20 minutes.

Operating hours

Generally, the metro starts running around 5:00 AM and continues until about 11:00 PM on weekdays. On weekends, services extend later, from 6:00 AM to around 2:20 AM. For Line 3, which runs from Rafelbunyol to the Airport via the city center, the first train departs from the airport at 5:27 AM and the last at around 10:59 PM on weekdays. On weekends, the service begins slightly later at 5:47 AM but runs until 2:07 AM.

Line 5, on the other hand, starts its service from the airport at 5:45 AM on weekdays, with the last departure at 10:36 PM. On weekends, the timing shifts a bit, starting at 7:00 AM and going until 1:40 AM. This line goes from the airport through major hubs like Marítim-Serrería, near the City of Arts and Sciences, to the Torrent Avinguda on the other end.

How to reach the Metro Station

Reaching the metro station from Valencia Airport is a simple and well-signposted process, ideal for travelers landing and wanting to quickly move to the city center or other destinations.

Disembarkation and Baggage Claim: Once you have landed at Valencia Airport and disembarked from the airplane, follow the signs to the baggage claim area. After retrieving your luggage from the arrivals hall, proceed to the exit.

Signage: Keep an eye out for clear, multilingual signs indicating the direction to the metro. Valencia Airport is well-signposted, with signs directing passengers towards public transport, including the metro.

Direction to Regional Terminal: The metro station is located on the lower level of the airport, directly connected to the main terminal. You will need to go downstairs using stairs, escalators, or elevators. Follow the signs for “Metro” or “Subway”.

Arrival at the Metro Station: The airport’s metro station is simply called “Aeroport.” It is the only metro station at the airport and serves Lines 3 (red) and 5 (green) of Valencia’s metro network.
